Hey guys, I've been leaving the litter box out for everyday now and every morning I check it and there is footprints and the litter has been moved around a little almost everyday! Omg I get so excited whenever I see it and I feel so happy! If it is him coming to the scent of the litter I would be over the moon! 
I was just wondering that would any other cat come into his yellow litter tray that I leave out or would they just avoid it because its his "territory" or something? If so, there is actually hope hes alive and is actually coming home while im asleep because I leave it out every night after taking advice from you guys but it only happens at night when im asleep so if it is him coming home I always miss it because im asleep and I can't open the door for him and hes not there in the morning when I check everyday before going to school. If it is him for sure should I just stay awake the whole night? xx

If it IS him make sure to stay calm, speak and move softly, have some treats, food and a favorite toy or blanket etc..
Try and lure him to you and don't startle him 
)
