So he now doesn't poop unless I squeeze him. I'm still debating whether this is a good thing or a bad one. On one hand he is a lot cleaner (just a tiny amount in his diaper now) so there r good things about that bcz it cuts down on his baths, and decreases the odds he will get infection or diaper rash, on the other hand, idk if him only pooping when I squeeze him is so healthy for him or not. I do get a whole

Bunch out of him when we do though. I'm confused as to whether it's good or bad. Maybe it will change for the better.

I'm not sure yet either. You can always take him off the medicine and see which works better for him and you after you try each one for a few days.

I got an email today, and the woman's conference will be coming up again in October (I know, quite a way away). The problem arises that it is in chicago. Last year I left mama at home to be checked on daily by my mom, and papa went to her house. Well, things r much harder this year. I can board the 2 dogs at a pet resort together, the cats can all stay home, but Bob. I doubt by that time that my mom can watch him as he will be a big guy and she has 2 cats and 2 dogs of her own. If by some means she will, that's where he will go, if not any suggestions on how to find someone to board him? I thought about the vet, but I hate to have him locked in a cage for 4 days. The hotel has a no pet policy bcz I thought about just paying the extra myself, and having him flown in with me. How do I find someone or somewhere decent to board him for 4 days? I am willing to send one of the other animals with him to keep him company as well. I figure if I start looking now I should be able to find a place by then for him.

I'll have to think on this. The very best place would be with your mom since she is aware of his issues and knows how to deal with them. And although living in a cage for 4 days is not ideal, the vet would take good care of him. They know about his issues too.

It's good you've got time to think about it.

Yeah, I was hoping to look it up and find something but that's apparently not happening. Ideally she will although I highly doubt it. I really hate to do the vet bcz they aren't there after like 6 and aren't there after like 2 on Saturday. They would literally have to take him home with them or he would explode. Maybe there's another vet that boards and is there 24/7 to give him the right care. I put a thing up on thumbtack (whatever that is) for it bcz I guess ppl like bid on it. Doubt that turns up much. I'll keep a good eye out and see what I find. Do they do like in home places like they have for babysitters? I would board 4 of them together for that matter (2 dogs and 2 cats) to make it worth their while. Idk, never crossed my mind that this would be really hard to figure out.

Perhaps a local shelter could recommend a local foster who wouldn't mind caring for Bob for a few extra dollars that weekend. It really needs to be someone with experience with cats.

O u know that's a really good idea. I am sure if they will ask that someone would be willing to do it. Especially since they would get paid and it wouldn't cost them anything at all. I will go to a couple of the ones around here and ask if they will ask their fosters for me.

Ugh, I got worried bcz Bob didn't poop since the morning, I gave him his bomb as I call it (miralax food) and o boy. I guess he was actually making real formed poo and I got it all out, and then some right after his breakfast. When I came home (thank god I put a good diaper on him) he exploded! I felt so bad for him! Luckily it stayed in mostly, and he got it all out. Is it OK for him to only poop once a day? I think brothers poo everything they eat, we can't have Bob all backed up! O, his new diapers came yesterday, I put some elastic around the top to make it fit, but they r cute and so soft!

It's okay if Bob poops only once a day. It's really good that it was formed! [emoji]128077[/emoji]

I'll stop giving him the bomb and see. If it doesn't happen every how long should I worry? I can't have him backed up again.

Bob is adorable, I can't get enough of the little guy. You know..... you will need to give us updates on a regular basis now ... right?

He needs to poop every day in order not to get backed up since he eats solid food.

And please more pics of dear little Bob! He's the cutest kitty ever! I understand you keeping him, even without all the hardship you are both going through, he's so precious! Thanks for all you're doing for him.

uncle merlin loves the babies! That's Pete and dozer curled up with merlin. I will most definitely keep posting little Bob. Poor guy got diaper rash today [emoji]128562[/emoji] I felt so so bad about it too, cause it was all my fault for feeding him that food. [emoji]128557[/emoji] i put his diaper rash ointment on his little belly and all his other parts. Hopefully it will be gone by morning. I should've thought to put it on him before I left. I thought it would've been gone, so I left him to just dry. His last changing it looked almost the same so I coated him down and hopefully it is gone by morning. He just got all his fuzz back, and here I am screwing it up for him! Maybe if he doesn't poop in 24 hrs I'll just give him a little lick of his bomb to help. I give him regular kitten food twice a day (sometimes 3) since he has been on the drops. Idk if it really helps, but it can't hurt.

I'm glad you're treating his diaper rash. It should be better by tomorrow.
