@Pollyanna  I hope your cats enjoyed all that extra attention and were happy to see their carrier disappearing with your guests when they left.
I agree, it is always lovely when visitors come to spend time with your cats, Mouse would be really hurt and confused if someone came in to his home and ignored him!

One of my lodgers just came home from work a few minutes ago with a box of limited edition summer Magnum ice cream lollies - strawberry and white chocolate and one of them was for me.
It was a hard job but I had to eat it - straight away.

They really enjoyed the extra attention, especially my two 4 month old kittens! If my older kitties had seen her take off with that carrier, they have would have been ecstatic!  :)

Good job you managed to finish the Magnum....  I would have managed it as well, I am just so helpful, especially when it comes to eating sweets and ice cream!  I wouldn't want it to go bad, which these things do very quickly!  :)

We went for a really nice walk tonight. We walked to the school nearby to play in their playground, then walked past our house and got the dog and continued walking. We went down to the park, then walked through downtown, stopped at Dairy Queen and shared a banana split and then home. It took about an hour and a half. I love being able to walk to things now that we live in town instead of out in the country.

Nice one!
     Very cheerful they are too.

I met a couple of old friends for lunch and we went to a lovely little cafe I hadn't been to before.  Yummy and very reasonably priced.

We survived school clothes shopping. Son needs more shirts and shorts but I got the jeans and survived. He got 5 pairs of jeans. Most 75% off. I am going to remember this and watch for clearance next summer.

When did clothes get so darn expensive???? My oldest son is 23. Jeans were $10-15 when he was 12+ (took us forever to wear jeans). Now, cheapest kind are $25. More often they are $35-50! For children. 6&7 year olds.

We hit the motherlode for my daughter. Most clothes were 95% off (shopped the clearance aisles). So the store did (each item!) 50% first, and then 40%, then 30% of then 20% and finally 5%. Off each item at JUSTICE FOR GIRLS. One sweat suit with a teeshirt was $60. *$60*. This is a 6 year old. In total after discounts, it was $7.something!!! lol
MY poor husband about croaked lol. Lydia got 75% PLUS more clothes than Aiden for less money.
Soooo glad Aiden isn't big on clothes. We still need socks and undies.

Ohhh and I found an amazing car mechanic too! AND DH GOT A JOB!!! So much to be happy for!!

My cat Christy just threw up a big, nasty hairball... right into the litter box! She even waited until I was just about to clean it.

You can't help but love it when they do that.

I made it past the time when I had Aimee premature.
I was 29 weeks 5 days pregnant when she was born, I am 29 weeks 6 days today. Everything is going great with this pregnancy and I don't expect to meet my son for a couple more months.

These are sugar flowers?
They are stunning!  What an amazing skill you have in making these, and so beautifully.

There was a nice buzz at work today:  busy but everyone having fun and getting along together so it didn't feel like we were working hard.

Those sugar flowers are beautiful!

My foot doesn't hurt. I walked all week for exercise, walked throughout the weekend, walked throughout the yard and worked in the garden. Nothing. The lump is still there, but that's nothing. The main thing is no pain.
