I made Chili in the crock pot yesterday so it's leftovers tonight. It will be even better tonight. Cornbread too, of course

We ended up going out for pizza yesterday.

Tonight I am making guacamole, and we will have it with chicken and salsa over salad.

Made some Salsberry Steak & mushroom and onion gravy with all the leftover hamburger patties from yesterday. I'm thrifty and I hate wasting food but hate eating the same ole thing, too!

Grilled chicken Caesar salad (our grocery store had romaine hearts on sale, so will grill the chicken first, then throw the romaine on the grill for a fast sear) with a couple garlic parmesan rolls from the freezer

Not sure. I took a London Broil out of the freezer last night, but I don't know what I want to do with it. I was going to toss it into some marinade this morning, but didn't really want to do that either.

Thinking about throwing it on the grill and then topping it with lots of caramelized onions and mushrooms. Maybe a twice-baked potato as a side. With some steamed broccoli.

Since I'm leaving work early, I might throw together a blueberry buckle for a bit of dessert.

That might actually work.

It's so hot out I don't feel like doing much. I have salad leftover from last night and picked up a piece of salmon for Aaron and a piece of chicken for me.

Got pummeled at PT today so I just don't have it in me to cook a dinner. I stopped at Carl's JR. and got burgers. So awful for us, but I have healthier meals planned for the next few days....until I go to PT on Tuesday that is.

That didn't work. Rick's company splurged for pizza yesterday at work, so he texted me to tell me that he wasn't at all hungry, between the pizza and the heat, he was done. So I made tuna salad for my dinner last night.

So.....I mentioned in the Three Things post that my BIL is coming over to help us move the appliances out of the kitchen tonight. We're all having dinner first. I made a marinade for the London Broil early this morning. I threw together some potato salad, too, and that's in the fridge. I took some freezer cabbage out of the freezer to thaw, too. Made mint tea (we live on mint tea during the summer).

And dessert will be strawberry shortcake.....I'll have to supplement our garden berries with some from the store, but that's OK. Our shortcake is more of a sweet biscuit, split, with the berries in the middle and on top. And I still have some heavy cream leftover from that lemon ice box pie I made on Memorial Day; I can whip that up later on to serve with the shortcakes.
