Well we walked to the meat shop and my husband is eating raw hamburger for dinner unless he wants me to cook the hamburgers and I got chicken salad.

I don't eat that much so maybe with some chips and some melon.

I love talking about food :) My sister in law made the most fantastic chili with chicken, lentils, pintos and white beans for Mother's Day and tonight we are having the last of the leftovers. With lots of shredded sharp cheddar and sour cream, sweet corn muffins on the side. Yum!
That sounds delicious!

I made scallop Caesar salads. They came out really good. :)

Hi Happybird!
Love your name! What a good chili that must be!
Pam! Have you ever thought of adding in Captain Crunch cereal in a batch of brownies!!!!!
Ooooooooooo soooooo
Noooo! You mean, you've tried it????

I just love Caesar salad! Like scallops, too, so that's the best of both worlds.

Rick just came home from work; he worked third shift last night (OT) in addition to working first shift yesterday. He came home and slept, then went back into work. He says he has to work the OT while it's available.

Anyway, he's taking me out to breakfast this morning, so I won't be cooking much tonight. We might grill some brats, something like that.

Years ago a friend of mine went to a restaurant and they had fried chicken on the menu. It was breaded with crushed up Captain Crunch cereal! The plain one without crunch berries.

He said it was delicious. Kind of like chicken and waffles.

Don't feel like cooking, so I'm going to try to convince the Hubs to go down to 5 Guys and pick up some burgers and fries. It shouldn't be hard to do, lol!

Well, we didn't do the pot roast last night, so I threw it in the crock pot this morning before coming to work. The crock pot is in the basement, on top of the dryer.....I don't trust the 3 Meowsketeers at all when it comes to the counter tops in the kitchen! And I certainly don't trust them around the crock pot!

We went to Lowes and Home Depot yesterday and after we left Home Depot, Rick said that he just happened to bring a gift certificate to Ruby Tuesday with him and did I want to go there for dinner?? Well.....yeah!! So I just left the roast in the fridge last night and did the crock pot thing this morning. That's good because til I get home from work tonight, dinner will almost be ready. A bit of coleslaw and a couple garlic-parmesan rolls and we should be good to go.

We went out for Mexican. :yummy:
Margaritas!!!! (sorry.....you say Mexican; I think margaritas!)
There were margaritas involved. :lol3:

We went to a different seafood shop on Saturday and were really impressed by how fresh everything was. The freezer is loaded with salmon and scallops now. I'm making littleneck tonight with shrimp, chourico, potatoes and white beans.

I got Chimichangas from Muchos Gracias. They are soooo good and affordable. Had PT appt. kind of late in the day so I picked these up for us as I'm feeling pretty worked over and sore. Easy dinner and yummy. Healthy?.....probably not.
