It's such a relief to find someone who's gone through the same thing! I also found one other person on Reddit with a similar issue. Their cat is now on an anti-emetic, and while still not super interested in food, is at a proper weight after being underweight for a long time. This person also mentioned an instagram cat with similar lack of appetite, the cause was eventually found to be acid reflux. People always tell me to just try more foods, and I want to bash their heads in with my excel spreadsheet of all the foods I've tried! Just kidding, kind of. I'm still amazed that no one was particularly concerned about my cat suddenly losing 1/2 lb in a month when less than a year old.
My vet referred me to an internal medicine specialist, with the working hypothesis that she might have IBD or some other similar issue, and gave me a rx for the oral version of mirtazapine. Hopefully, the move in a couple weeks will clear up the anxiety part of this, then we can work on figuring out the physical part.
