Happy New Year Everyone

This is the 2024 thread for everything Wordle, including the Wordle clone Canuckle, plus Waffle, Squardle, Quintumble and Connections. So whether you play each day, or just once in a while, this where you can post your results.

With Wordle, we have a competition where we keep track of daily scores, to see who has the lowest total each week. It’s just for fun. No prizes or awards, other than recognition of being “winner” of the week. There’s no obligation to join the competition to post in the thread, but if you want to play, just keep track of your Monday to Sunday scores, and post your total each Sunday.

Full Disclosure: I got spoiled on today's Wordle. Stumbled across the word last night, and though wasn't 100% sure it was the answer, had a feeling it was. Played my usual starter today. Then put another word to try to make the word I'd seen not be right, but didn't work. So I put it for my 3rd guess, as I couldn't think of anything else to try with that word flashing in my mind like a billboard.

Per Scordle, there were only 6 words left after my 2nd guess, so maybe I would have gotten it in 3 anyway. But still feels like an icky three. Gonna be more careful where I lurk in the future.

I always do the words in the middle first because they're easier than the edge ones and sometimes I accidentally get an edge letter placed right while doing the middle words.
