Veggie burger on a wheat bun with lettuce, tom, & pickle. Side of sauteed button mushrooms. A glass of wine bc this week was STRESSFUL.
I am jealous.
I pulled out a package of Trader Joe's Mushroom Ravioli in a Truffle sauce.. easy, quick and good. I will buy them again...
have leftovers for another day...
I agree, 3 days tops for leftovers..
Are you going to laugh if I say MORE chicken salad? I hate to let it sit in the fridge, or at least, in MY fridge, for longer than 3 days or so. When the new one comes in, I'll feel better about going a week with it. Besides, I LIKE chicken salad a LOT!
Well, there are some leftovers I'll allow to go longer. I adore pasta with pesto, and as the pesto is VERY garlic-heavy, it will keep safely for several days, and will anything with a lot of honey. The trick with pasta is NOT to have sauce with meat in it added to it, and to put a piece of plastic wrap RIGHT ON TOP OF THE PASTA ITSELF. Sorry about the yelling, but I have such a time with the Bold and Italics buttons.

And I do like chicken salad.. I do not have it often..
I think I will have the leftovers of mushroom ravioli, along with a bit of the pork tenderloin which I made yesterday....
Like you, I have to use up the tenderloin...
I think we are getting Trader Joe's in our area soon, I can't wait! Do you have Aldi where you are? I like to shop there, too. It's a good place to pick up staples, and sometimes they get some really amazing things as special buys. It's where I first encountered Kerrygold Irish butter, which is now the only kind I will use. Prices beat the stuffing out of Walmart.
Nice, Lily Paddy! When you get your others, please give us a review of them as well. I'm really curious. Thanks! My sister doesn't like to food shop, nor does she like cooking, so a service like that works well for her. (I was actually thinking of buying a 3-meal week for her and my BIL last year as a Christmas gift.)
JazzyP, I'm a big grocery store fan, too! When a new supermarket opens in the area, I always go to check it out and I can spend several hours just looking at everything. I was visiting a friend in NY several years ago when a new supermarket had just opened. I forget how many hours she and I spent there. I love Trader Joe's, too, and can spend quite a while there. Unfortunately our closest TJ's is about 60 miles away.
Grocery store or shoe store? I'll take the grocery store any day!
