My lazy Abby is sleeping on her window perch.
Buzz is sleeping on the cat tree in the bedroom, Pickle is on my lap and Kiwi is lying against my leg. I am lying on the settee reading. Bliss.Who could ask for more
The Big Guy is resting/sleeping on his favorite chair with his favorite microbead hersheys chocolate pillow.
Sounds like catnap time
Toffee and Fudge are tucked up in a ball together on the sofa, sleeping.
I'm at work so I am sadly separated. But someone has to earn money to buy food and toys. As one of my favorite quotes says, I work hard so my cats can have a better life.
But.... Given the time and their normal routines. Rocket is probably snoozing either in a bush or with Fury. Nightfury is either snoozing on my Mom's bed or his spot next to her computer. Link is most likely visiting my neighbor and napping under her bird feeders. So basically, they are probably all looking like this...
Casey is asleep on his side like a human on the top of my couch. Apollo is asleep on the top of my loveseat. Sonny is asleep on my bed upstairs. Starbuck is asleep on my desk chair. I just came downstairs and am now laying on my couch watching tv.
Casper and Cocoa are chasing each other around our living and dining room. This seems to be their bewitching hour
Swanie is upstairs sleeping (or lounging) on our bed and Cricket is looking out the front window.
These cats are crazy. =D They're running through the house at top speed for no reason. They go out into their catio, 2 minutes later they rush in and shoot across the house with the ears pinned, eyes dilated and the insane "invisible monster is after me" tail puff going on, freeze, do a quick "lick-lick" on the shoulder, and go back out onto the catio to repeat.
JC is begging my husband for some of his yogurt and Max is drinking out of his fountain.
Lelia's got the zoomies. And is meowing. I should probably play with her.
Speedy is eating her third meal for the day.
Hi, Lelia and @Lari from @raysmyheart and Speedy! I love when cats get the zoomies!
Well, a little while later the older guys are sleeping or hanging out in the catio, and the youngest is all by her lonesome, flip flopping, cartwheeling and sommersaulting across the house in hot pursuit of the Dreaded Pink Fuzzy Ball that's destined to achieve World Domination if she doesn't do something about it. Because we ALL know that the Dreaded Pink Fuzzy Ball is something to be eyed with suspicion.
The youngest dog is trying to join in, but dogs don't understand the dangers involved with stopping an attempted World Domination Plot and he's being ignored by her.
I'm not home so I'm not sure what the indoor ones are doing but I do know that Mittens is outside (much to my chagrin).
Now Charlie is grooming himself
The youngest is STILL spazzing, the Pink Ball has been beaten into submission and she's doing her late night murdering of the catnip mouse and randomly yelling "PURRT!?!?" as she darts across the room over....nothing.
Young dog has given up in joining the fun. Sorry pup...dogs just don't understand!
I love all my cats but I LOVE this cat. She's tenacious as a terrier dog with the fearless heart of a Rottweiler, yet as sweet as pie in her own right.
She was sick as heck as a baby cat foundling and we always assumed her attitude and never-say-die attitude is what let her survive...she was simply too stubborn to do anything but live.
As a side note, she's brought into the house in her day...
mice, half dead mice, all dead mice, half eaten mice, birds that were unwise enough to make their way into the 1 inch gap of the catio, and one night she brought in a dead baby snake.
It's one-thirty-seven, and Bob's in his bed,
While visions of catnip mice dance in his head;
Peanut and Scottiecat, little Puff too,
Asleep on the bed in the guest room that's blue.
Sweet little Lance is curled up on the pillow,
On the bed of the guest room that's painted in yellow.
Oz is sprawled out on the desk over there,
And White Tip's asleep in her favourite chair.
Clawed-Ya, Black Friday, and Miró all sleep
On the drawing room sofa that's cushioned so deep.
You'd think sleeping cats, not a sound would they make,
Well, ten of them don't - but the Snowshoe's awake!
She runs through the house with that Snowshoe tail twitchin' -
You'd swear there were elephants down in the kitchen;
She leaps at a shadow, that stupid Siamese,
And screams in a voice that would frighten Banshees.
She careens through the house like a Nazgul in heat
Until she encounters, with little white feet
That big water bowl in the hallway below -
You thought Esther Williams put on a great show?
That's nothing compared to a Snowshoe that's drenched!
The sounds which ensue are like dæmons who've wrenched
The Soul from some sinner who's dragged down to Hell,
(The only thing missing's that sulfurous smell).
Then suddenly everything's quiet as tombs -
But I know that she's down there, in one of the rooms,
Concocting some scheme that might kill me of fright,
But for now, all is quiet - to all, a goodnight.
@1CatOverTheLine - What a beautiful tribute to your eleven sweeties. Goodnight !
I heard Scottie my feral tom at the door and let him in. He has been gone for about 3 days again. It's looking like he has developed a circuit that takes him about 3 days to get around. So he goes out and checks on the ladies and visits them asking if any are in need of his services. Either that or he has one special one he is courting and after three days gets to hungry to hang around any longer and comes back to build up his strength for his next assignment. So I am guessing that is what Scottie is doing, making kitties.
