We got a good crop this year...

We got it all bagged up in mesh...

And hung it in the barn to dry...

And here is Makena on the day he discovered we were growing catnip in one of the covered beds.....

Its funny, every year's weather is different: good for some things, not so good for others. This year the peppers and broccoli did fantastic, tomatoes and cucumbers not so good. We got a bunch of these gorgeous peppers, we have bags and bags of them frozen now.

We bought a little catnip kit in a bag that had some seeds and a small bag of dirt. Figured we would grow some in the kitchen window since Makena LOVES fresh catnip. It grew well and when we took out the last of the broccoli, we set the little plant outside in a covered bed. The catnip grew crazy fast outside.

Thats the little catnip in the black pot - we just put it outside and next thing we knew it was huge. Not sure how much it will shrink up as it dries, but I am guessing we will be able to keep all the toys refilled for quite awhile

Makena loves the garden and spends hours out with his mum when she is working on it.
