VSL3 in Canada

Hello, it's been recommended to me to try VSL3 antibiotic for my kitty's diarrhea.

Does anyone know if this is obtainable in Canada?

Has your kitty been diagnosed with IBD? It looks like VSL3 is a probiotic.

Long standing intermittent diarrhea. On long term Proviable. A vet in the US suggested trying a higher end probiotic like VSL3. I believe Visbiome for pets is the same but I can’t find them in Canada.

Unfortunately Visbiome Pet is not available in Canada, only human Visbiome.

Have you tried slippery elm bark syrup for the diarrhea? It might help.

I have not. Will investigate.

(US measurements) Bring 1/2 cup of water to a boil. Turn off heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of slippery elm bark powder until it thickens and becomes the consistency of a raw egg yolk. Give 1/4 teaspoon mixed into wet food 1-2 times a day. Store in fridge for up to a week, then discard and make a fresh batch.
