Of course Purr-fect the purpose of the contest is really to have some fun but we can only cast votes up to the number indicated for each contest. My analysis of the number of votes casted has nothing to do with who is the winner but with the number of votes different members actually cast. It is just curiosity in my part.

Yes I know mama africa, there still remain over 2 voting days but you can already see that some voters are casting less than the full 20 votes they have the right to cast. I'm just commenting on this tendency which can be appreciated in the previous contests already finished.

For what it's worth, I used all 20 of my votes. I worked very hard at trying to narrow it down to ONLY 20, they are all so darned cute it was not easy.

I am glad you have casted the 20 votes. I have done it as well. As you say it demands a lot of attention when you have so many participants as in this contest. But by studying each entry we get better acquainted with the site members and their kittens.

It's nice to see that the younger generation of cats is continuing the long tradition of feline Yoga, isn't it?

One of the reasons people aren't voting is that the voting thread is a lot less easy to find than the contest thread was. Every time I visited TCS during the contest there was a banner about the contest, with a link, across the top of the page, and this continued well after entries were no longer being accepted. But when it came to actually voting, that disappeared.

I reset the banner each time there's a new contest and a new voting thread. We allow our users to dismiss the notice and once they do, we have to push the notice to them again. This isn't 100% of the time as we do our absolute best to not be too overwhelming to our users.

Since voting engagement is encouraged, we notice that when there's a large amount of entries, the voting gets spread out more than when there's less entries. We want to give everyone a fair chance to be apart of our contests so we don't limit the number of entries. I hope that make sense.

Margret, I do not make up any of the rules of the contest, I simply run them. I do not make or create the way the site works so I apologize if you didn't get the notice, but I do turn them on. Please note that these things, although I set it up, we don't control the frequency in which it's shown. It's random as far as the settings tell me.

I meant nothing by the way I explained it. I just wanted to give some insight as to how I was given directions to handle these contests. Banners, prompts or notices are entirely automated. We welcome anyone to come to the Fur Pictures and Videos Only! area where the latest photo submission and voting thread is stickied at the very top.

Thank you, everyone! This is one contest where there should be multiple winners - I have never seen so many beautiful cats in such contorted positions, positions that only master yoga practitioners could achieve. I think we all should be awarded first place.
