Do you know what brand it was and if it was non-adjuvanted? Although no vaccine is 100% safe, some are better than others. The adjuvant is something that causes irritation at the site of injection which causes the immune system to go into action. Did you get a chance to read that link I just posted? I think that vet gives good advice about vaccines.
