Hello everyone
I heard the sight lost the members data list so I reapplied.
A little history of my cat life and what has been happening. All most all of my cat family is from animal rescue, pets in need, pound or strays.
1. 15 year old black angora female Liberty Belle (pets in need)
1. 4 year old mix russian blue female Gypsy (animal rescue)
1. 4 year old male not sure what breed he is. He was born white with what best describes wooly fur. He has racoon marks now. Little Foot
1. 2 year old simese female Miss Chief (WalMart Special I call her)
2. 2 year old IDENTICAL TWIN white males with odd eyes (blue & gold)
Cuddles & Bawana (Bawana was the kitten who sat in the corner for months and months) dog pound
My cats are mostly inside cats, I do let them out during the day.
Well Bawana got out two days ago and didn't come home till 4 am. Not sure what happend but we ended up with a little orange tiger kitty/cat sitting at our screen door crying for about 30 mins.
My husband has been a great sport about 6 cats (as much as he grumps he loves them all). We had seen this orange tiger around for a couple of weeks. But always shood him out of our yard.
I am an overly sensative person and this was breaking my heart to watch and listen to him. But my husband said don't feed him Mary, cause if you feed him you will own him and we have 6!!!!
Well I am sorry dear husband but look at him ;( he has been ripped up by other cats in the neighborhood, he is totally baren of any fat content and looks like no one loves him or cares that he got a raw deal in life. OH HE STILL HAS HIS BALLS, but not for long
So I fed him and gave him water. He left.
I went to the store and when I got back my husband says you have a friend waiting for you in the back yard. His food dish was empty so I refilled it.
I sat on my swing and talked to him very softly for a long time, holding my fingers out in case he wanted to smell me. Well, he finally came to me (very afraid) and let me scratch his head as he told me how gratefull he was. I washed and disenfected my hands upon coming back into the house.
I decided that we will help this little guy. So I got a towel, coaxed him to me then scooped him up. He is now in our extra bedroom.
What I am not sure of: He is so frail
not sure how much longer he would have lived. I know he needs a vet but I don't want to tramatize him to much right now. Would it be ok to wait till next week to take him to vet?
He has no contact with my 6 babies and will not until I am sure he has no diseases. But I desperately want him to start to trust people and know we are not all bad. A trip to the vet might give him negative attitude so soon.
We have had no further physical contact as he is spending his time sleeping, poor little guy.
