Hey guys, so I am fostering 4 6wk old kittens. They have had 0 vaccinations and am just curious as to thoughts about socializing them with my 1 yr old vaccinated cat I already have. I have had them isolated for the past 2 days but would like to begin to socialize them with my older cat since they are so young. Would it be okay to being the introduction of the two of them, or do I need to wait until they start their vaccinations?

I generally prefer to wait until any new cats have been tested for Feline Leukemia before allowing them to mingle. But the kittens are too young to test. If your cat has been vaccinated against FeLV you might decide that the risk is low enough that you're OK with it. But usually, if I'm just fostering I don't ever introduce the fosters to the resident cats.
