Frodos area recently was invaded with slugs so we did a pressure washing of the hard surfaces and wrapped the entire bottom of his hutch plus food and water bowls in copper tape.

I forget to get a photo of his blinged out set up but here is Frodo protesting his temporary space while we cleaned. And accepting his strawberry plant apology.

I love the pic of Frodo with his paws up on the strawberry plant. 🍓 Hope he didn't have to wait too long for the hutch to be cleaned.

The tail is priceless. I guess you don’t have to mow the lawn!

Frodo is pretty good about keeping the grass in his area trimmed up. There is a spot he likes it to grow longer but we let him keep his area how he likes. The rest of the yard, Gladys only got out over the weekend so we do mow. We are thinking about letting her out in the yard more since she's so easy to out back in. But she's a busy bunny exploring all the things when she is out and doesn't have time to eat.

Gladys got yard time again this weekend. She was way too busy to spend much time with Frodo but she did manage to find where I hid the raspberry bush. She kindly trimmed it up to a reasonable bunny height.

And what you don't see in photos is Frodo getting aggressive at moments when her back was turned and she was near the fence line. With the fence between them, they are fine. Without the fence, they fight for dominance and since both are such different but strong personalities they don't want to give in to the other. We don't want either to get seriously hurt so for now the fence stays.

The bunnies are handling the heat wave by laying about all day. Gladys has been getting a lot of yard time to give her the ability to find cool yard spots. We even made a sign to remind all the humans to keep the gate closed (it hangs over the fence so you can see it from either side). Don't worry, Frodo has plenty of cool spots in his space already so he is good. Gladys gets out because she is a little better behaved when it comes to eating only safe things and she puts herself in at night very easily. The last time we tried Frodo in the yard, he took over an hour to get back in.

The interesting part is getting to see the twins together(ish) more. With the fence between them and Gladys being able to freely get away when she wants, they are very good together with some links going between the fence. But... without the fence they still end up fighting; Frodo pushes Gladys too hard and Gladys wants her space. So the fence stays but at least they get to spend time together in a way that they both can enjoy.

I love your garden! Whenever you post pictures of it I admire all the lovely things you've collected out there.

Your rabbits are behaving a lot like my cats in this heat. During the day they find some huge ferns to sleep under and don't show themselves until it gets cooler again in the evenings.

Just catching up on your thread and glad to see the twins enjoying the lovely garden. They sound like a typical brother and sister, i.e. Frodo pushing Gladys too hard and G wanting her space.
