I don't know anything yet, the vet hasn't called me back yet.  I am thinking about talking to another one about this that seems to be more opened minded.  I did write Dr. Gookin again, but she hasn't responded yet, I will let you know when I know.

Tritrichomonas is highly infectious.  The litter boxes and scoops all need to be cleaned regularly with Lysol (or bleach) or replaced at least until the medication is finished.  Also anywhere else the cat has come into contact like the floors, counters... Best to confine them to keep the cleaning easier and to increase the chances of ridding this parasite.  I have a cat with Chronic diarrhea and two other cats and they were all treated with Ranidizole twice and I am getting another fecal panel done.  I hope this was of some help.
