times per day a cat pees

Is there an average number of times a cat pees per day? My cat is on wet food with the exception of 1 tsp dry for a snack. He only pees 3 times a day and poops once. Seems to feel great.

Every cat is dfferent

Just know what is normal for your cat and if you notice anything unsual, like no pee or way too much pee too often or no poop, then that means a trip to the vet.

Pee three times a day and poop once a day is common for many healthy cats

For your cat to pee 3 times a day and poop once a day is pretty good.

But have to consider if the pee is big or small clumps. It not so good if pee 5 times but only a tiny clump each time. It all depends on how much water intake too. Even if you are feeding wet, how much is one feed and how many times a day? And in between does your cat still drinks water?

My boy is on only wet and he eats 5 times a day and each time a 3oz can with a teaspoon or two of water added and in between he drinks water. His pee is like at times big and some huge clumps at least 5 times a day and poops everyday. So I have to clear the litter box often after the pee had clumped up hard.

It's good to have your cat well hydrated.

My girls pee about 3 times a day too. Same for my boy. Sounds normal to my vet.
