It's cliche but I think this song was really powerful (consider the time) and was really kind of the day the music died, period. I respect this guy for making such a good song about such a bad time.

N NY cat man I remember those days. We had a roller rink in a nearby town that always played an Elton John song. For the life of me I can't remember the name of it but if I hear the melody I will know it. It was a medium tempo song that made practicing some of the more complex steps of roller skating easier to practice with it's medium tempo. Man I really miss those days. I had struggled with depression in my childhood but whenever my dad took me roller skating everything rolled away and it was like I was an entirely different person. He was very athletic and taught me so much! We used to speed skate when the mood struck us..good times!
