~ Let's have some real old-fashioned SodaPop please ... !Yup, not only are artificial sweeteners worse for you than real sugar, I don't care who you are, you will never be able to convince me that "it tastes the same". It's gross!

i just adore Orangina! though, it's been over a decade since i've bought it.Orangina.
PopSo first... Is it pop or soda? What do you call your carbonated beverage?
I've never drank much pop, but decided as a "New Years Resolution" to give up Pepsi/Coke, and so far haven't had Cola all year, and only a couple glasses of other pop.Which do you prefer and why?
Pepsi, but would drink Coke. Hate the "no name" Colas thoughPepsi or Coke?
SpriteSprite or 7Up?
Either Canada Dry or SchweppesWhat brand of Ginger Ale do you like?
A&W Root BeerWhat "off flavor" pop do you like, if any?
Back when the dinosaurs roamed, and I was young, pop came in glass bottles which you returned and were reused. There was a deposit on the bottles, which you got back when you returned them. The deposit encouraged people to return them, as well not to litter. And if they did litter, someone else would pick up the bottle to return and get the deposit. So though still bad for health, it wasn't as bad for the environment.By whatever name, it's persona non grata here, because it's really bad for health and the environment in those throw-away plastic bottles.
I used to feel the same way in the Coke/Pepsi debate ( anyone remember the Pepsi challenge?).I call it Soda. No one around here that I now of calls it Pop.
I prefer coke because I like the taste better. I have no use for Pepsi what so ever. Pepsi is not allowed in my house. EVER!
Seagram's which is made by Coke.
Orange Crush.
I loved all of those, too, jcat , and my grandma was from Texas. In Texas, you drink Dr. Pepper. That's all there is to it. So when we went to her house every weekend, that's what we'd have with her world's BEST fried chicken and fixins. My dad used to buy Shasta by the case and he'd pick all different flavors. We loved it. My mom loved cream soda and so did I. My best friend when I was small (and still to this day!) and our moms used to walk to this deli close to their house and get phosphates. That's carbonated water with syrup. We usually had chocolate ones. Sometimes vanilla. They were so good! I love all those drinks, but they're just too bad for health.I say soda and never liked anything other than Coke, root beer, birch beer, cream soda or Dr. Pepper. About 9 or 10 years ago I thought I was drinking too much soda and stopped cold turkey. It was surprisingly easy, and the very few times I've had a soda since then it was way too sweet.
