It would depend WHICH member of the family and certainly not in those words "Brat" sounds contemptuous. There are ways of saying things without critizicing. The important thing is to obtain positive results.

Not anymore but have done it in the past. But after a recent operation of one of my daughters I invited her and her husband to stay with me in my home so that I could take care of her during her convalescence.
