Do you think the smell comes from the litter or from the chance that your cat sprayed somewhere in the house?

If it's the litter, do you have an open tray or a closed box? The latter would be a better solution to keep smell contained.
Also, how often do you completely change the litter and wash and sanitize the tray? In the case of a closed box, how often do you replace the filter?

In the case your cat sprayed somewhere, what have you tried to clean the spots?
There enzymatic cleaners that do a great job at removing smells from surfaces and fabrics.

If the smell is coming from the litterbox, and only the litterbox, you might need to have this kitten checked out at the vets for a UTI, etc. The odor of kitten urine shouldn't fill an entire apartment like that. Are you 100% sure the kitten hasn't been having accidents on rugs or other upholstered things in the house (beds, chairs, couches, etc.)?
