3-4 months?? Where's it coming from? Man... it only takes 2 weeks to get something to Iraq and that's a war zone.

Last year (I think - maybe 2 years?) AbbysMom was sending something to Australia, and it took MONTHS to get there. Like 4 months I think???

I guess it came pony express, huh?
Probably took that pony a long time to cross the ocean.

Wow, I guess I'm lucky. When I sent something to Australia earlier this year it only took a couple of days - and that was just by first class international.

Yes well i was told by one of the mods that it was sent months ago from Nth America, and i checked in the local post office a week ago and the guy said it could take 4 months as surface mail.

Who knows, i might get it just before i go away for my birthday in Feb and it can be a birthday present!

That's why i gave them my fiances parents address (with their permission) because i also have a po box, but will be shutting it when i move, and if i gave my SS either of my addresses the gift could've been floating in space forever!

I haven't been able to get through reading it yet, the tears come too fast, especially since Nakita's 1 year anniversary is around the corner:

Now, I'm just hoping it gets there at all!
Is there any way you can go to the Post Office and track it?

We (my company) got two cards returned today - we mailed them and they were processed according to the stamp on DECEMBER 14th! These were both cards that would have stayed in town, yet it took them 2 full weeks to process them. Yeah, thanks for being timely USPS!

So if you haven't gotten any word from the Snoopers or Karen or Linda about your package being late being shipped, it's very, very VERY possible that it's stuck in transit somewhere.
We have heard from most of the Santas and the bulk of the packages are in transit. Let's hope they arrive soon.

The thing about getting it from Iraq is you probably got it from someone in the services and that is still US Postal service handling it the whole time. I doesn't change hands as far as jurisdiction so it travels quicker than standard global mail.

Nope, once it leaves the States all tracking is gone.

Anyway... I did out myself and have received word back that she read it.

I am.....................................

Jaffacake's (Linda) SS.

I mailed her package Global Priority Mail on November 9th, and at the latest with Thanksgiving and all weekends it said it should have gotten there no later than December 3rd, but we see that is definitely not the case.

I sure hope it gets there soon.

I did also give her 12,000 VBplaza points around the end of September as a SS pressie too. So..... I guess, part of my gift arrived! Phooey! I just want it to get there soon!

So.... everyone send out your and
everything you've got for us to get it past the gnomes and to Linda!!!!!

Nope! My estranged husband is an Iraqi. It came from his family in Nasaryia.

I'm glad I sent my SS stuff by express mail then. Because I was able to track it every step of the way. It told me when it left the US and from where, when it arrived in France, what time it entered customs, what time it left customs, and then it told me when they tried to deliver it the first time and then the final delivery delivery date/time. It was pricey to send express but now I'm thinking it was well worth it!

It should be easy to figure out who mine will be from when I get it, there are only a couple others who haven't gotten theirs, so I can cheap and go by the list

I see how you are I said I couldn't be presuaded to the dark side so you are making me wait now
(SS, I am a patient person, so don't worry about it being late, I am not worried about it, the mail is slow some times, I am figuring it will come some time after the first. mabey it will come tomorrow, but I am guessing it will be after the first.)

Actually there are about 20 people who haven't received theirs yet. I'm one of them too and am patiently waiting! However, I'm impatiently trying to figure out who it is. I'm worried I won't be able to guess!
I think those of us who haven't gotten theirs yet should get clues every once in awhile so we can stay busy figuring out who sent it!
I can wait for the goods as it just mean Christmas all over again!
I just want to have fun figuring out who it's going to be!

Here's my clues so far:

SS is from another country

They have a puppy (Actually the message said "one of our puppies" so I'm guessing they have more then 1).

I may put all the names in a spread sheet in 2 columns. Then I'll sort and rule out everyone who has their name in both columns as my SS and go from there.
Am I bad, or what??

Hello All!
I just returned from visiting my folks over Christmas and found my SS gift waiting for me!
(I wish I had a camera, but words must suffice!
) I found within a beautiful hand crocheted scarf in shades of blue and white, a stocking of toys for Danny, a lovely pewter cuff-style bracelet with wolves on it (and small enough to fit my little wrists!
) and some very nice yarn in a mullberry color along with a book on crochet to get me started on my next project! Thank you Secret Santa!!

Now I must put my detective skills to work to discover who it is!

I'm still waiting but I know it's on it's way. My SS recipient hasn't received hers yet either
although it's been on it's way for 3 weeks now. I hope it gets there soon.

I made one weeks ago!
But I've also been reasearching old threads and what not for who lives where and different things like that!
