My kitten (bacard) is around 5/6 months old. He has been vomiting and all a bit whingey the last few days.
I took him to the vet yesterday who said he is teething but also has gingivitis, the vet said to give him chicken bones 2/3 times a week and 'dentabites' to give as a treat. Well, he's not eating the chicken bones because I think he's in pain and the same with the dentabites....they're not a treat because they hurt him to eat!
I dont like seeing my baby in pain, he's trying to chew on anything...
Isn't 5 months old a big young for a kitty to have gingivitis??
I guess what i'm asking is, is there anything soft cat food wise that will help clean his teeth? because at the moment he is only eating wet food, which doesnt help and is there something i can give him to chew on because of the pain? At the moment he's trying out the power plug for my commputer!!!
any help would be hugely appreciated!!
