Take A Guess (as We Are Guessing Also)

Hello all that might want to take a guess at what our furbaby is made of (depending on who you ask it is sugar and spice or tooth and claw). We found him at the tender age of around 5 weeks old and he looked like this

but now he looks like this

We thought at first he was a burmese mix then his mane started to show so maybe he has Maine Coon in him. He weighs about 18lbs and is only 9 months old. He is intelligent, curious (more than normal), has a dog like attitude for the most part, and has bonded with one person in particular (me).

Anyone wants to make a guess?

Good thinking, Stefan Z! I think that that pointed muzzle and long, silky fur, make for a nice Turkish Angora lookalike.

Hi! The face and ear set, yes Turkish Angora, that big mane/ruff, and the longer and it looks like thicker, body fur is making me think one of the other big breeds like Maine coon...what an interesting cat!!

Note that most of the cats don't have a ruff/mane, and if they do it isn't as pronounced as on your boy. It certainly could be that in his case, the mane just grew more. Or it's indicating another large breed influence such as Forest Cat.

I googled that breed and found his twin. They look identical.
