hello everyone!

I’m just curious to know what breeds you think make up my two kittens? I was sold them as “British Longhairs” from a family friends pets who had kittens. I’ve included a pic of the parents for reference. I definitely think they have some BLH in them due to their markings and coat.

Please be nice, I don’t need people saying “oh well they don’t have papers” etc. I know they’re not pedigree, I’m just curious to get other opinions from cat experts!

(Their parents are in the last pic- the two cats sat together outside-the mum is the lighter of the two)

Thanks

They are gorgeous cats! They don't look much like British Longhairs, as generally British cats (both LH and SH) have much shorter, broader faces, smaller and wider set ears, broader bodies, heavier boning, etc. But they are definitely beautiful cats :)

Do you know anything about the background of the parent cats that your family friends have? The mother cat (lighter in color, on the left) looks like she might have some British (LH/SH) or possibly doll-faced Persian ancestry in her background somewhere, although it's not possible to say that for sure. She has a fairly short, rounded face and smaller ears. But the other cat in the picture of the parents doesn't look like a British (LH/SH) at all.

Here are a couple of examples of British Longhairs. You can see how different the type is.
