Okay, so my mom just let in a cat. It's a calico, and it seems to look pretty healthy. We're keeping it locked in a room away from the other cats and had
her feed.
I never found a stray cat before, so I don't know what to do with it. It has no tags on and seems pretty friendly, so I don't know if it's stray or not. Some people don't have collars on their cats,(mine doesn't wear a collar).
So now my mom is thinking of taking it to the human society, which I am reluctant encase it does belong to someone. Maybe I should bring it to my vet and have them scan the cat for a microchip? It seems pretty healthy looking for a stray. It's really hungry, so we fed it but..should we send it to the human society?
I just don't know what to do with it. And how do you know if it could have rabies or not? Stray cats always make me nervous. But it seems very friendly?
PS. I'm not sure if I have this in the right thread...?
