We recently adopted a kitten the other day, and today I noticed this spot on her head. We are planning on bringing her to the vet but does anyone have an idea as to what this is?
We're talking about the gray scabby spot yes? Ringworm (not ring worms) is a fungal infection and can present in different ways, pink spots, or gray spots, welts, scabs etc., often on the head, paws and tail. Usually it spreads, although if, and i say IF you kitten has it it may be an old case that's healing, not a new one. But whenever you see bald spots in newly adopted cats or kittens, especially kittens, that have come from a multi-cat environment one has to at least suspect ringworm. We recently adopted a kitten the other day, and today I noticed this spot on her head.
