Kush got spayed today
I was told she could go back to eating and drinking normally but limited activity for 7-10 days. So when I took her out of her carrier I put her in our pit bulls dog crate with her litter box, a blanket, and her food and water bowls. She didn't potty at all in her carrier and I could tell she was holding it because she went straight to her litter box and took the longest pee. She's been laying down but when I check on her she paws at my fingers through the bars.
I feel horrible locking her up but her and my pit bull get insanely rambunctious together. When I went to check on her I tried to gently hold her and rub her head and she swiped my face, something she has never done before. She didn't use her claws but it was still very surprising for her, i know she is probably uncomfortable but I was very careful. And as I put her down she tried to bolt out and I had to run after her before she ran out of the room.
So now that I got my annoying long post out of the way here are my couple questions
1) how long do you think I will probably have to keep her in the cage? There's no actual room to shut her in except my daughters and then I cant hear here if she's crying so that's a no go.
2) did anyone's cats behaviors change once they were spayed? She's always been pretty friendly and playful. Never a scratcher more of a mouther/biter (playing but so annoying always on the back of the heel)
3) did you guys lower your kitteh's food intake once they were spayed so they didn't get the jelly belly?
Anything else you want to add feel free. Thanks!!!
