So Zoe is set to be spayed, on Monday, January 2. I had taken Lily, 4 years ago, to a place called Richmond Animal League 4 years ago,a low cost spay place. She did beautifully and healed perfectly. But because Zoe previously had a heart murmur,I decided to go with all the bells and whistles of all the pretesting and monitoring that Banfield does. Anyway,so I've gotten myself worried sick. I looked up reviews of Banfield and they are NOT good. So far they've been good to us.They had told me of the heart murmur. She just got her shots there this past sunday, and we got the great news of Zoe no longer having a heart murmur. I signed her up for the wellness plan plus, mainly so I can pay off the cost of her spay, over a year rather than $400 or more upfront. I just don't want them to hurt her. Or find unnecessary things to charge me for. At the low cost clinic, it was $60, which included pain medication. At Banfield, that is "out of pocket"expense" i almost feel like now that I know she is murmur free, I should of just booked with the clinic. Its too late now, since I can't back out of this plan, and her appointment is set. The Dr. told also told me "She hasn't been in heat yet" when about two weeks ago, she was showing nearly ALL the signs of being in heat. I've never had a cat in heat before, as Lily was about 3 and a half months when she was spayed, but from what I've learned, Zoe was definitely in heat. Dr just says she's still too young. She's a good 4 and a half months old now. Any opinions? Anyone want to put my mind at ease?
