She likes to talk

MacKenzie will be two in June and she is one of two cats we have at home. She is extreamly talkative. Some times she is close to whining.

The only time that it becomes bothersome is when we are in the kitchen. I make it a habit not to feed my cats "People Food". When they were younger they were fed wet cat food, and her meowing for food has continued, although they have not had it for close to a year.

I do not know how to correct this behavoir, save for using the water bottle. This upsets me and she gets angry at me (happily not for long).

Please help.

I know how that feels!! I have learned to do what I call Kitty jail. When I am in the kitchen preparing food or sitting and eating dinner, any cat who begs or whines, goes into a carrier or kennel. I am fortunate to have a dog and he has a large Kennel that I use. I found it is the most effective and eventually they get the idea. If not, then they are out of foods range and I cant hear the whining. Good luck to you..
