A neighbor commissioned me to make 5 window masks, the kind with a clear vinyl window so that lips can be read. It took me weeks of frustration, making and rejecting patterns (and trashing the finished masks) until I broke down and bought a pattern from etsy. Even then, had so much trouble! The problem was the turned-under reverse side peeking through the window. Ribbon edging sovled that problem on the front. The backs aen't the best sewing I've ever done, though. She loves purple, especially purple paisley. The cat mask is a free gift she doens't know about yet! After I started these, her beloved 17-year-old kitty died. She posted an artist's portrait on Facebook .I saved it, thinking I could someone use it either on a mask or a drawstring bag for the masks, etc. but it did not work out, so I used some leftover fabric for the kitty mask. They look far better in person.
