Hi guys.
My 11 mnth old Cammie received a scratch to her cornea yesterday; I took her to the vet who prescribed Chlorsig eye drops every 2 hours, doxycycline half tablet in the morning and half at night and one tolfedine tablet every 24 hours.
This is the 3rd time this cat has received a scratch to her eye; this time the vet trimmed her nails and our other cats nails and we are buying softpaws (plastic claw covers)
We always managed to get her eye drops in the 2 other times but this time my wife is working during the day so I am home alone to do the drops and she seems to have gotten wiser and smarter to avoid the drops buy squirming like mad no matter how much I try to calm her down.
Have you any tips on how to eye drop a squirmy kitty a stubburn one at that?
I dont want to cause her any more stress than I have to as I am sure lack of stress will heal the eye faster than lack of eye drops?
Thanks
Scott
