Saccharomyces Boulardii For A Month. What Next?

My Tess has random bouts of very painful, explosive/messy diarrhea once every 3 or 4 months unless I give her S. Boullardi daily. I prefer the NOW brand capsules which I dilute with a little less than 3ml water then split solution into two, 3mL syringes (which are less than half full) making my 2 daily maintenance doses. (previous vet diagnosed as IBD, new cat specialist thinks colitis).
Whenever a flair up/explosive diarrhea occurs due to missed doses, etc...I give her the emergency dosing of half a capsule every 2 hrs until solid poop. Using this method, it has NEVER EVER taken more than 24 hours for this to occur!!!! It's a miraculous emergency diarrhea treatment that works EVEY TIME, infinitely faster than metronidazole or anything else. I do also make her a Slippery Elm gruel (NOW Brand loose Slippery Elm Powder) to sooth her tummy. When she's in a lot of pain, she actually licks it right off my finger because she knows it helps.
