On April 12th 2019 we had my long time cat Athena put down. We had her for 10 years when we adopted her we never knew how old she was we still don't know how old she was. She was a stunning gorgeous american short hair she was grey and white and black with beautiful blue eyes. Me and her would always cuddle and butt our heads together she was so much fun. Before she got sick she was HUGE like humongous she ate A LOT but she was like a little teddy bear. We noticed something was wrong with her when we moved here to North Carolina October of 2018 she was just off. It started off she wouldn't really move around as much as she used to then she stopped eating and would just lay by the water bowl and drink all day long we would have to refill it at least twice a day then she would walk around but her back legs just weren't really working all that well so we knew something was up. She started getting so skinny she couldn't even hold herself up and her back legs would just drag across the ground like they just didn't work anymore. So we made the hard decision after months of seeing her like this we decided it was time for her to cross the bridge so i called the vet and on Friday April 12 2019 she passed away. We miss her so much but it was just time. a week or so later the vet we got her put down at sent a card and everyone who works there wrote a message and signed there name it was heart touching really. So today has been 1 month and 3 days since her passing and i'm holding up okay sometimes i will think about her and cry but its a part of life. Thank you to anyone who read this whole thing.
