My older cat Luna got out last night, I was not aware of it until hours later. On top of the stress that Luna must have felt it also rained for the first time in months. By the time I finally found her, she was cold, shivering and wet. I brought her in, fed her and tried to dry her but she wanted to clean herself.
She has been clingy all day, just looking for love. My younger cat Lulu, has issues with change, loud noises, and likes to spend the noisier days under the couch. By the time Luna and Lulu saw each other for the first time since I brought Luna back inside, Lulu has been completely freaked out. Lulu will not stop hissing growling and swatting in Luna's direction. Does anyone know what I can do? I know that cats release pheromones in stressful situations, but how long does it take those pheromones to be replaced? I am separating them for the night, but I need help.
