Hello and Happy Sunday!!

Tell us a funny, awkward, memorable occurrence in your life, you can have as many as you like.

When my ex and I were first married, we moved to a rented condo. One of the neighbors, a single woman, asked us to her place for dinner. We gladly accepted. We walked over on the evening of the dinner. We brought a bottle of wine She had dips and appetizers. We were very hungry and she then told us that she didn't make dinner, the dips and cheese and crackers were filling!!! ????? She then started asking us about our sex life!! Patrick said well we've got to go, thank you. We walked to our car in the carport and drove to a Chinese restaurant and brought home takeaway.

Sooo bizarre!!

What about you?

I don't know if my story is funny, but it sure was awkward and embarrassing:

In college I was working part time at a Chinese fast food restaurant somewhere in Manila. The crew's uniform for ladies was a short Chinese collared red dress that was kinda pretty (for me). I just finished serving one of the customers and was returning the tray to the kitchen when I slipped, tray and chopsticks flying and I landed on the floor, my upper thighs and underwear exposed for all the kitchen crew to see. What was embarrassing was one of my co-worker was there whom I had a serious crush on. He offered his hand so I could get back up, but I preferred to be swallowed by the ground right then and there.

Not my awkward moment but a friend's. We went to a dance and both went to the ladies loo. I walked out first then my friend. Quite a few people were smiling at us but we didn't know why. About 10 minutes later she turned her back to me and all became clear. She had her dress tucked into her knickers at the back. Awkward then, but funny later.

I was at the optometrist's office. I had just had my eye exam, and he was taking measurements for the new lenses. Sitting at the table across from him, he had me look at a spot on the wall behind him. While he was doing this, there was a young girl present- apparently a student or intern- and he was explaining the process to her. She bent over to look, and all I can say is that she should have worn her sweater with a higher neckline. Awkward.

This one was pretty awkward. It happened outside of my old work place.
I was sitting on a bench while having a coffee on break. I keep to myself most of the time, so I was sitting alone. I was briefly texting the hubby and some man came over to me. No joke - he said “You look like you have nice feet, I can massage them for free”. I just said “ahhhhh, no I am good”. I was wearing boots too lol  I remember it being so awkward.

One of our daughters was rather mischievous when she was young. My husband hates having his picture taken so while he was taking a nap she decided to put his hair in colored barrettes and elastic hair bands. Of course, we had to take a picture and when he woke up we showed it to him and said we would use it for blackmail. :camera:

I went into town with my daughter and this woman rushed towards me with her arms outstretched to hug me, saying Bernie Heya how are you. Luckily my daughter saw the look on my face and said mum it's Ruth. Ruth was my ex husbands girlfriend who I had only met for two minutes when the ex came to pick up the kid's. Obviously he hadn't told her I'm not a hugger, for a few seconds I ready to punch her. My daughter could not stop laughing because I had no clue who she was. It's a good job she told me.

Back in the days of skirts and pantyhose I was walking down a crowded a street and glanced down to see that apparently my slip waistband had given out and about half of my slip was hanging below my skirt. Who knows how long it had been hanging there or how many dozens of people had seen it. I ducked into a doorway that happened to lead to a beauty salon, stepped inside and quickly pulled the slip the rest of the way off, balled it up, stuck it inside my purse and left.

In high school, I was in my band teacher's office with him and it was just us two. I accidentally let out a fart and it ended up being a silent but deadly one. Nobody said anything about it, so we both pretended like nothing happened. I still felt horribly embarrassed.

Years ago, when I was walking down a busy urban street on a very sunny day rushing to get somewhere on time, I had a embarrassing incident. On that day I forgot my sun glasses. My eyes were killing me and I was getting crazy floaters. I tried to look to my side a little, hoping to avoid the sun. All of a sudden my legs banged into some metal barrier and before I knew it I nearly fell into a trap door in front of a store. I grabbed on to the trap door and stopped myself from falling in right away. Then some quick thinking man came up behind me and pulled me back so I didn't fall in head first. I was confused and embarrassed. Everything happened so quickly. The funny part is some people crowded around me and kept asking if I was okay. Some of them scolding the store owner over not having any barrier around the open trapped door. I got two Lawyer's business cards in no time saying that I had a good case (talk about ambulance chasers). Anyway, I left the area and blamed myself for not having my sun glasses that day and ditched the Lawyer's cards. It was a very strange day. I count my blessings that I didn't fall head first into the trap door. Better to suffer embarrassment than to be badly injured. My heart goes out to all those who weren't as lucky as me. When they say life comes at you fast they are not kidding. 😟

We were out one morning doing some enduro practice and had parked up at the base of a mountain that had a track that weaved up its flank and ended in a little clearing and the end of a logging road. This track was a 15 minute full throttle eye bugging pure adrenaline fun and used to look forward to riding it every time we went out. Unknown to us the army reserves had been doing a night exercise and next minute when we hit the clearing we were riding over little one man tents hidden in the bushes , getting tangled up in radio aerial wires and bouncing off camouflaged vehicles. Turned the place into total chaos and thought we were going to get the crap beaten out of us.
Lots of apoligising for wrecking the place and disturbing their sleep in, enjoyed an army breakfast with them then continued on with a very subued ride after that. It was a very funny but embarrassing day.

I was surprised at first too with 5 motorbikes arriving in your supposedly hidden campsite at 50mph but I think the boss guy wasnt to displeased in the end judging by the comments he was throwing around..taught his part time soldiers to expect the unexpected and us to look where we are going...lol.
