What's the best way to mark the kittens to tell them apart? I've seen people use nail varnish or Velcro collars but any other ideas?

Little update now we're past the 24hr mark. I've marked the kittens as I've weighed them today but apart from little one I've no idea who was what weight yesterday lol just that they were all 90-102g. So here they are today...
Green - 106g
Pink - 110g
Purple - 106g
Orange - 106g
Blue - 114g
Yellow aka little one has put on a fabulous amount to reach an amazing 89g!

Congratulations! You must be busy, but please post updated weights & photos when you get a chance. I don't know how you'd tell the kittens apart without color coding claws.

Aww congrats Safaria! Hope they're all doing well?
So here's a little update on my little bundle, these are yesterday's weights...
Green - 177g
Pink - 155g
Purple - 164g
Orange - 165g
Blue - 177g
Yellow - 147g
So they're all gaining well, Pink bas fallen slightly behind with an average of 11g per day so I'm keeping a close eye but overall I'm very happy with their development.
Their colour has started to develop too which is absolutely the cutest thing. I adore them all and I'm unbelievably proud of Khali, she's a fantastic mummy

What did you end up using to mark them to tell them apart?

I've just popped a dab of nail varnish on the end of their tails but in a few days I'll probably switch to the safety whelping collars coz Khali keeps licking the polish off haha

I was a bit unsure tbh, I was worried about it being toxic to Khali licking it off but my mentor reassured me. Just done today's weigh in and they've all gained 15-16g since yesterday. Khali is on royal canin mother and babycat food so it's clearly doing the job.

I thought you would use the varnish on a claw, didn't think of tail.
Ileen I was going to paint their nails but was told...
'Dab it on the end of the tail, it's safer because what mother doesn't lick off grows out with the fur. If it's on nails you have to use nail varnish remover to remove, the fumes from most removers are toxic as well as poisonous if mother or kits try to lick it off.'
So that's why I did tails!

Bit nervous tonight. Khali has ventured off Downstairs and left the babies with me in their box. She better come back haha!
