Are you weighing them?

There is sure to be a runt or two with 6. They need to gain 6-10 grams each per day minimum. If not, a runt may need supplementing.

Do you have KMR?

Look at those adorable little oreo cookie kitties! :redheartpump:

Give mom a dish of KMR a day for the calcium.

Get a kitchen scale that weighs in grams.

Momma and babies are all doing great! Sarthur2 Sarthur2 Can you or someone please tell me what I can put on her nipples? They look sore and chapped and almost scabbed over. I don't know if something like Vaseline or coco butter is safe for the kittens.

Can someone please tell me what is safe to use on my newly momma cat's nipples? They look sore and chapped and the tips look scabbed over. Kinda warm to the touch but don't look bruised or infected. I'm not sure if something like coco butter or Vaseline is safe for the babies.

You can use coconut oil as it's non toxic. Warm to the touch is not normal and is usually a sign of an infection (mastitis) so I would get her to the vet to be checked out.
