Hi! It's a portable baby crib. My mother bought it at a garage sale in 1968. It's been used quite a lot over the years. She brought it out to donate to charity, but her cats had other ideas about that! They sleep in it every night now!

And quite right too. They're lovely. By the way cot is British English for crib.
