ENTRY. The Mu and Teddy.

Teddy came with the house and I thought about chucking him out, but the cats have all accepted him as one of their own. He gets bunny kicked and bitten and occasionally dropped in a water bowl, but they all love snuggling with Teddy too.

Salem's First Christmas - 2018 I caught this reaction from her when I came home with her new igloo from her Grandma. To be honest, this never became one Salem's "favorite" gifts. She is spoiled rotten and gets new toys all the time. But, Wow! I have never gotten such an excited, happy, kitten energy reaction to new stuff like that first Christmas! I have plenty of cute pictures of her playing with new toys, but I went with this picture because it is one of my favorites.🥰

Nick loved his “soccer ball” so much as a kitten! It was this little rabbit fur poof ball. As an adult last year I gave him a rabbit fur weasel that all the cats love! In fact I gave both Nick & Jackie one each!

Here's Cholula with her new Hanging Monkey. She's loved 2 others into retirement. The 1st was a gift to me I left hanging around a doorknob. Since she was a small kitten she pulls him down, drags him around like her proud prey (even when she would trip over his arms & legs while trotting him to deliver to Dad) and she even snuggles with him for naps. 😹

Not sure that this picture will qualify on the grounds of 2 words: favorite and gift!
Mogi with the knitted clown, which was never intended to be a gift to a cat. And favorite? Perhaps, if we believe that favorite toys are simply prey, as far as cats are concerned. As soon as she sets eyes on the monkey, knitted more than 30 years ago by my daughter, and sewn up by myself, she wants to kill it.

Just to prove that the monkey is a favorite, here is a photo taken 7 years ago. The toy's felt hands and one ear are already missing - maybe from the time it was stored in the loft and attacked by mice! Or they just disappeared in the washing machine.

And, here's Mogi's clown (did he always have a squint?)
