Outdoor Tnr Drooling

We have a TNR we care for named Hitch. We had him TNRd in December and he received the rabies and distemper vacs. We ve only recenly been able to pet him but when we do he purrs and drools. I've watched him but he does not drool when not engaged with us. Our indoor cat Psycho does not do this and I've not ever had a cat that did. Is this something that cats sometimes do?

Yes, some cats drool when they are happy. We had a big, long haired Siamese who drooled a lot any time you petted her.

Yep! Totally normal for him. Some cats are just like that! I Have one of my own.

Thank you both that makes me feel better. I was hoping there was nothing wrong with him. He mainly does it when he is purring.

Thank you. I would like to find a home for him so he can become an indoor cat. He s so beautiful . I can t bring him in because Psycho would be upset and I can't do that to him after 8 years.
