Fair enough.  But the faster you get rid of the old dry, the better!  I think its high fiber in the old dry food and the fact he was eating too much of it that gave him the diarrhea in the first place.  Just the new dry and the old wet should be fine for awhile.

Thanks for the good news.  There have been so many sad stories lately that I really needed to feel the satisfaction of a cat recovering with the help of our advice.  Hopefully this will help any others searching for help with "obsessive eating,"  especially in a young cat who is still growing like yours.
