Hi everyone! I've been lurking here long enough that I figured it was time to make an account
I have two kittens. One's my baby Seven. Her name is a Star Trek reference. She's about 5 months old and she's been an amazing kitten so far besides her constant dashing out the door. The lady I got my girl from was amazing- she does trap and release and sells off the kittens she catches, so I got Seven at 9 weeks already spayed and vetted and healthy as can be.
I wound up getting a new kitten two days ago. I feel terrible for giving the family money when they let their cats breed and took such bad care of their kittens.. he was indoor-outdoor and fed only dry kibble. I have him on wet food mixed with water now. I was told he was 8 weeks- he clearly isn't with his blue eyes! He weighs 25 oz as of yesterday. He's covered in fleas and it looks like he has ear mites, as well as diarrhea (normal color though). I think he's 6-7 weeks. We're going to get vaccines tomorrow and have the vet check him over. We haven't come up with a name yet, I've been too busy fretting over him because he's so tiny.
Anyways.. the little dork is eating his litter! I was using the dollar store brand litter.. which is actually diatomaceous earth. From looking online it seems some people put it in their adult cats food... but this stuff is pretty large and he's so tiny. I'm picking up regular non-clumping litter today.
Nice to meet you all
