Hey guys!!! So I've a new baby kitty! He is 12 days old, born in October 7th. He is 4.9 oz, so quite a bit smaller then my last baby, Legacy. His mama quit nursing him, I suppose. He is all black, with super soft fur.

Where did you get him?

He needs to double his weight as soon as possible.

Is he eating well?
As of yet, he isn't eating very well. I've only had him for about 4 hours, and he's only eaten probably 4 cc, all spread out. I'm trying to feed him often until he starts gaining weight.

My sister, friends grandmas, cat had kittens and supposedly she kept moving him back and forth, up and down stairs and then quit nursing him.

This cat has litter after litter, probably been three month since her last and same as before that. I've tried like three years ago and ever since to get this cat spayed, but clearly she's not.

She did have two kittens, however one died when he was only a few days old.

What a shame the poor mama is not spayed.

Is there a low-cost clinic you could offer to take the cat to for her?

Hopefully the baby will begin to eat better in the next day or two.

Yes there is. But I've offered, to pay and everything. She says yeah, but it doesn't get done. I'm hoping that when I get my current rescued mamma spayed, she'll let me take her cat.

I hope so too! Just give her a day and time that you will be by to pick up the cat and don't accept any excuses.

That's a shame. I hope you can get the mom spayed so this cycle stops.
Yeah it was just entirely too late for him. I hope so I can get her fixed too! This definitely needs to stop, not just for over-population, but for the sake of the mamma.
