Hey everyone, my name is Jade and im a kitty-holic (*hi jade*). lol, im just playing, but i am seriously a kitty holic. I have three.
Parrot was my first kitty, she's about 3.5 years old. The vet say's she siamese and something else. She's almost pure white except for her paws, tail, and face, where she has grey stripes. She's a one person kind of cat, and hates every person that she's ever met, minus me, heh. No, im serious, we took her to the vet when she was starting to love on my husband. Turns out that we were right, she was really sick.
Cow was my second kitty. He's about 3 years old, and we got him from the SPCA. He is the polar oposite of Parrot, in that he loves every person that he's ever met. His favorite person on the planet is my 2 year old daughter, who loves to give the kitty hugs and kisses, and boy does he love to recieve them. I've yet to meet a better behaved cat. I've had him since he was about 4 weeks old, as he was tossed out of the window of a car in a paper sack with his sister on the interstate who was adopted to another family. He's a brown tabby, with black stripes and white paws and white muzzle.
Monkey is my third kitty. He's a big giant orange tabby with an eating disorder. Now when you think eating disorder you think not being able to eat, right? Well, not this eating disorder. He can't stop himself. I have to shut him in the bathroom for about 30 minutes, twice a day, while i let the other two eat during feeding time, or he will basically tackle them and steal their food. Let me put it this way, when i first got him, i had an auto feeder that the other two used. The second night we had him, we woke up in the morning to find poor monkey asleep with his head in the food dish, and about 1/3 of the food that should have lasted weeks, gone. I wasn't sure what to do, thinking it was just because he was a kitten, but he got up to almost 30 lbs, and eventually we had to put him on a special diet. Now he's around 22lbs, and consistantly loosing weight. He's a very sweet boy, but a little bit on the not so bright side.
And yes, i know that all of my cats are named after other animals. Parrot used to ride around on my shoulder and meow like she was talking. I called her my modern day parrot, and from there on the naming disease spread. Monkey, when he was younger, looked like a spider monkey because his tail was almost double the lenth of his body, and cow, when he was younger, had spots that reminded us of a cow, and eventually evened out to be a beautiful coat, and now he we call him cowboy.
Ok, now that i have rambled on long enough, I hope to make lots of kitty friends around these parts! Take care!
