I have dealt with this depression for as far as I can remember, but it has been on and off. I remember when I was in junior high school it felt so bad that I intentionally crossed the road knowing there was a taxi about to come. The driver stopped in the nick of time, and shouted at me with all the expletives I could possibly hear in my lifetime. Now I am in my 40s, and still comes and goes as it probably pleases. When I am here, my cats comfort me. When I am back home in my country, it would be my dogs.
