Poor Steve Harwell. He had to retire from singing in Smash Mouth. About 8 years ago he ended up in the hospital with Cardiopathy, Heart failure and a nuerological disorder called Wernicke encephalopathy. The Wernicke Encephalopathy was affecting his motor skills, speech, and memory very badly so he had to retire. My heart goes out to him--that's a lot to deal with. I wish him all the best. I love Smash Mouth--what a fun band.
