It looks decent. My checklist for choosing a top-quality cat food is:
- grain-free
- potato-free
- carrageenan-free
- meat listed as the first ingredient
It looks like there is carrageenan (suspected to have inflammatory and carcinogenic effects) in the Merrick chicken: Merrick Purrfect Bistro Grain-Free Chicken Pate Canned Cat Food

Carrageenan is why I'm not using Purrfect Bistro formulas. Only use the Limited Turkey or Chicken. No other canned.Only this formula.

Perfect! I looked up the wrong ingredients list, sorry about that.
I feed the Merrick Rabbit pate. I think its the only one not the LID that is carrageenan-free
I used to feed it, but stopped when they added pea protein. Super disappointing, it was one of my favorites! (Well... the cats' favorites. lol)
Our cats loved the LID duck and turkey a lot until the recipe changed, adding the pea protein. That made for a mutual decision to stop feeding it: they'd loved it until the pea protein, which, like paiger8, wouldn't have fed them anyway.
I've tried it with Kit -- she doesn't care for it. She'll it if I put some freeze dried raw sprinkled on top though.
