I love the book so far. Its definitely a page turner for me (that surprised me) and I love the language of the book. Its also really nice that Jane Austen doesn't have paragraphs of description; its mostly dialogue.

I just finished chapter 19 where
Mr. Collins proposed to Elizabeth, and she turned him down, and he thinks she just wants him to pursue her and ask again. Silly man.

.That's a good point. And now that I'm further into the book, I find the reading is going more quickly.
Am I the only one getting sick of Mr. Collins' attitude? First he won't take Elizabeth's rejection seriously then he does this: "he addressed himself particularly to her (Elizabeth) as if wishing to make her feel what she had lost in refusing him."

I was talking to my neighbour yesterday (keeping 6 feet apart, of course) and I told her I was reading P&P. She said she'd read it also, but then clarified that it wasn't exactly the original version she read, but a parody novel: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, #1)
